Lots of people ask me whether or not they should gain or lose weight, to which I usually say "which do you want to do?" but a much better question is how slowly or quickly you should gain or lose weight because there are options! Based on your energy balance, you will gain fat and muscle or lose fat and muscle in different ratios.
