Parenting is full of unpredictable moments⌠meltdowns, defiance, and big emotions. But how we respond in those moments makes all the difference. This weekâs episode is all about shifting from reaction to regulationâbecause when we meet chaos with calm, we teach our kids emotional resilience.
Weâre breaking down one of my favorite quotes from L.R. Knost:
⨠âWhen our little people get overwhelmed by big emotions, it is our job to share our calm, not join their chaos.â â¨
Hereâs what youâll learn:
âď¸ The #1 mistake parents make when handling big emotions (and how to fix it)
âď¸ How to pause, regulate your own frustration, and set the tone for your child
âď¸ Why validating emotions (instead of shutting them down) helps kids calm faster
âď¸ How modeling emotional control teaches kids how to self-regulate

Practice one moment of calm when your child is overwhelmed. Instead of reacting, pause⌠breathe⌠and choose to be the calm in their storm. Then, reflect on how it changed the moment. Did they calm down faster? Did you feel more in control? Pay attention to the shift.
