Unbeknownst to them, this friendship would turn their lives upside down. Kobias was pulled into the dark world of grooming by the father of their best friend. What began as a seemingly innocent friendship soon turned into years of manipulation, betrayal and physical and sexual abuse. By 15, they were in a full-blown relationship with their friend's father, which ended on the verge of death.
Kobias opens up about the early signs of grooming, the emotional toll of being targeted by someone they trusted, and the strength it took to understand and confront what had happened. Their story sheds light on the insidious tactics of grooming and the lasting journey of healing.
