Episode 107 - A Conversation With Lisa Espinoza About Recovering After the Tragic Loss of a Child
Manage episode 479812997 series 3486893
Unfortunately, all of us face tragedy in life to some degree. My guest in this podcast experienced the heartbreaking loss of a son. Chandler was a young man full of life with a bright future. He was the kind of young man all parents wished for. He was healthy, full of life, loved his family deeply, and was loved and appreciated by many. Then one day tragedy struck, and Chandler lost his life in a traffic accident.
My guest and new friend, Lisa Espenoza, is Chandlers mom. She shares her thoughts and actions with us as she worked to recover from her loss. We discuss how she turned this tragedy into a way to help others get back into life. The emptiness will always be there but so is the joy of the wonderful memories of her son. So too is the joy she has as she helps others recover.
Lisa is an author, coach, and speaker engaged with helping others overcome loss. She has a blog where she shares her thoughts and experiences. She also wrote an engaging book called, “First Brush Your Teeth.” This is a memoir that came out of heartbreak and efforts to regain hope as she daily processed her grief.
You can find out more about Lisa’s story and get a copy of the book by going to her web site: https://www.lisaespinoza.com/ . I strongly encourage you to do so and to share with others.
