A re-invented version of the musical CATS like you have NEVER seen it before! Based on T.S. Eliot’s Collection of Poems called: “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats,” this magical show weaves many cat’s stories together as the tribe called the Jellicles have to make the ultimate choice: which cat is indeed worthy to rise to the Heaviside Layer earning the right to a new life.

But this show incorporates acrobatics, gymnastics and all while preserving the appearance that the stage is indeed filled with these classic cat characters. It’s an experience of Cats like no other you’ve seen.

Joining the conversation are Chicago’s Very Own and Broadway star Gene Weygandt (playing Gus the Theater Cat) who was seen as the Wizard in “Wicked”: and the Broadway Cast of “Come from Away;” Emily Rohm (playing Grizabella) a star of the Paramount stage (from Mary Poppins, Sweeney Todd and more) plays this iconic role which made the legendary song “Memories” a standard in the theater lexicon; and Ryan Huemmer (playing Coricopat), a trained actor and acrobat seen in fantastic productions of Lookingglass Alice (Lookingglass Theatre) as well as Circus Quixotic (Actor’s Gymnasium).

CATS plays at the Paramount Theater in Aurora through June 15th and tickets can be purchased at: www.ParamountAurora.com
