Why doesn’t Australia take control of the drug shortages issue?

There are currently more than 300 ongoing medication shortages, 33 of them are critical, according to the Therapeutic Goods Administration.

Some of those medicines are unable to be produced in Australia.

Concerns over medical sovereignty and supply chains have prompted one parent in New South Wales to petition for insulin to be commercially manufactured in Australia
