In this episode, I dive into one of the most important—and challenging—topics of our time: how to have respectful, meaningful conversations with people who hold different political beliefs.

I share my personal reflections on the growing polarization in our country, the danger of misinformation, and the importance of listening with the intent to understand—not to change someone’s mind.

Then, I sit down with Mike Cory, a high school aquaintance who reached out during a tense political time, genuinely wanting to understand my perspective. Over the next three episodes, you can hear that although we come from different sides of the political spectrum, our conversation is proof that it’s possible to talk across differences without yelling, name-calling, or canceling each other.

Whether you lean left, right, or somewhere in between, this episode is an invitation to open your heart and your mind. If you’ve ever lost a friend, strained a family relationship, or just felt overwhelmed by the political divide, this conversation is for you.

Let’s model what respectful political discourse can look like—because our relationships and our democracy depend on it.
