Dr. Gregg Quiggle is a former professor of historical theology who has written a new book on the life and ministry of D.L. Moody, one of the most influential evangelists of the 19th century.

In this episode, Dr. Quiggle shares his journey of discovering the lesser-known aspects of Moody's life and the surprising impact Moody had on social issues, education, and Christian ministry.

From his early years teaching at Moody Bible Institute to his in-depth research into Moody's archives, Dr. Quiggle's story is one of uncovering hidden truths and challenging common misconceptions about a towering figure in church history.

Why do many evangelicals in America have a limited understanding of their own history? Follow Dr. Quiggle's journey as he pieces together the complex legacy of a man who spoke to over 100 million people, what studying Moody taught him about the importance of social action in Christian ministry, and the challenges he faced in confronting the flaws of a revered Christian leader.

I learned so much I didn't know about D.L. Moody and was challenged by Dr. Quiggle's insights into what his life teaches us about the importance of historical context, the role of the church in society, and the impact one person can have when fully devoted to God. I hope this inspires you to dig deeper into church history and use that inspiration to deepen your faith, prayer and obedience.
