Dr. Rosalie de Rosset has been a professor of English, Literature and Homiletics at Moody Bible Institute for over 55 years.

In this episode, Dr. de Rosset shares her passion for great literature and its power to transform lives and deepen one's relationship with God.

From her beginnings teaching English at Moody in the 1960s to the development of her unique thematic literature courses, Dr. de Rosset's journey is one of cultivating a love for the written word and inviting students to experience truth and beauty through fiction.

Why do Christians struggle to engage with secular literature? Listen to how Dr. de Rosset's upbringing as a missionary kid shaped her appetite for good books, what studying under great preachers taught her about the art of preaching, and the challenge she faces in convincing Bible students of the value of reading novels.

It's always a pleasure to listen to and talk with Dr. de Rosset. I always come away realizing there's so much more beautify to be found in life if we will take the time to behold it. May it inspire you to pick up a good novel and delight in the greater things God has blessed us with.
