Schitt with Money S1E2: The Drip
Manage episode 466368205 series 3645350
Welcome back to Schitt with Money! Peita and Emma are diving into Episode 2, where the Roses are really feeling the… drip. We’re talking cringe-worthy nightwear, small-town hospitality (or lack thereof), and why financial fine print is not something you should skim over like a Terms & Conditions pop-up.
In This Episode:
💦 Soggy starts – Johnny Rose wakes up in a very damp predicament, and we have questions about how this plumbing nightmare didn’t hit earlier.
👘 The Ebenezer Scrooge Aesthetic – Johnny’s nightgown is a choice. David has thoughts. So do we.
🧀 Cheese. So much cheese. – A cheeseball and a fondue in one meal? We hope your gut is stronger than ours.
✍️ Read the fine print, people! – Johnny discovers that he technically doesn’t have the right to sell the town… because Roland owns the final say. Lesson? If you sign something, know what you’re signing.
💰 When selling is wishful thinking – Just because you think something is worth a certain price, doesn’t mean the market agrees. We see this mistake in investing, real estate, and, well… selling a town no one wants to buy.
Schitt We Learned:
- Contracts are not “suggestions.” The fine print matters, especially if a certain local mayor has to approve your big escape plan.
- Never make major money moves in a panic. Just because you’ve been woken up by mysterious liquid doesn’t mean it’s the right time to sell your assets.
- Moira’s exit lines should be framed. If we ever decide to launch Financially Dramatic: The Musical, she’s getting a starring role.
- Cheeseballs are, apparently, aphrodisiacs. We wish we were joking.

Next up: Episode 3 – “Don’t Worry, It’s His Sister.” Johnny tries to revamp the town’s very questionable welcome sign, and we’ll be there to unpack the chaos.
Until next time, read the contract before you sign. No, really.
