The Red Sox (29-32) ended up their road trip with a 3-1 win over the Atlanta Braves Sunday afternoon at Truist Park in Atlanta. The Red Sox took the opener Friday night and the finale on Sunday and won the series over the Braves. The Sox went 2-4 on their trip to Milwaukee and Atlanta. Greg Weisert & Aroldis Chapman both worked scoreless innings out of the Red Sox bullpen.

Crochet Day: Garrett Crochet took the mound for the 9th time this season after the Red Sox had lost the previous game. Crochet gave up a 1st-Inning Home Run to Marcell Ozuna and that was it as he picked up his 5th win of the season. Crochet gave up 5 Hits, walked 2 (both to the No. 9 hitter Nick Allen) and struck out 12. He finished up by striking out the side in the Bottom of the 7th. Crochet got 22 swings & misses last time out against the Brewers and 23 swings & misses against the Braves on Sunday.

Tough Times at the Plate: Jarren Duran went 0-for-5 on Sunday and went 0-for-14 in the Series against Braves pitching. Duran and hitless in his last 16 at-bats 2-for-24 over his last 5 Games. The Red Sox struck out 12 times in the series finale and 40 times and drew 5 walks over the 3 games in Atlanta.

Roster Moves- The Red Sox made several roster moves prior to Sunday's series finale in Atlanta. Reliever Justin Slaten was placed on the IL with right shoulder inflammation. Luis Guerrero was brought back up from Triple-A Worcester. Slaten told the media that he's dealing with fatigue and doesn't think it's anything serious. Slaten and Liam Hendriks have both gone on the IL over the last 3 days. Nate Spears was added to the 40-man roster and promoted from Triple-A Worcester. Blake Sabon was designated for assignment to make room for Spears on the 40-man roster. Nick Sogard was also sent down to Worcester.

Richard Fitts, Brayan Bello and Lucas Giolito are scheduled to be the starting pitchers for the Angels series. The Red Sox and Yankees will open up their 1st series of the season next Friday in the Bronx.
