I am so excited to introduce Jeanette Yates to you. She is a passionate, down-to-earth coach, mother, wife, caregiver and now has a new title - Author!!
Jeanette Yates, founder of The Self-Caregiver LLC, has dedicated her life to understanding the unique challenges of caregiving for aging parents. With a mission to empower caregivers to reclaim their time, energy, and well-being, Yates offers a compassionate and pragmatic approach to navigating the demanding role of caregiving. Her personal journey as a caregiver, starting at the age of eight, deeply shapes her perspective and informs her work today.
Her book, From Guilt to Good Enough: A Caregiver's Journey of Overcoming Caregiver Burnout Through Healing Childhood Trauma, is coming out on February 11.
Even if you are not caregiving for a loved-on yet, this episode is packed with tips for you as Jeanette shares that almost all of us will have the opportunity to be a caregiver for one of our parents. The tools and tips on self-care in this episode are gold and I definitely learned a lot during our conversation.
