On this episode of the Terribly Vexed Podcast, we interview zookeeper Kevin Hunt. Kevin has had a life-long passion for conservation and the protection of animals. He also has an extensive background in working with wildlife, including but not limited to primates, elephants, and reptiles. He has also been a consultant in a number of productions from television to movies and maintains many close professional relationships with doctors of veterinary medicine, as well as being up to date in all the latest scientific literature.

Josh and Kevin have known each other since the earliest days of elementary school, and in a recent conversation Kevin suggested that we do an episode on newly rediscovered species being found around the world that were thought to be extinct.

In this episode, Kevin explains how a lot of these discoveries are made and applies his own reasoned knowledge and experience to the controversial study of cryptozoology and the possibility of even stranger, more unusual, and yet unconfirmed creatures existing in the vast reaches of the yet unexplored regions of the Earth.

The Tasmanian Tiger, McCord's Box Turtle, Takahe Birds, Dracorex Hogwartsia, the Coelacanth, Bigfoot, The Bloop, and The Loch Ness Monster...we cover it all!

In this episode of the Terribly Vexed Podcast, we tackle the aftermath of the recent election and the ever-growing sense of division in American politics. With Donald Trump continuing to stir the pot, we discuss how political discourse seems to have evolved into something more akin to professional wrestling—entertainment over substance, where it’s less about solving problems and more about creating chaos for the masses. As the conversation unfolds, we explore whether voting still has any real impact in a system that feels increasingly rigged. Are figures like BlackRock and Vanguard really the ones in control? Are these financial giants quietly calling the shots behind the scenes while the public remains distracted by partisan squabbles? And with so much focus on the two-party system, is there any hope for a third party to break through, or is the game already stacked against them? We’d like to thank Camel Cigarettes for sponsoring this episode. Camel Cigarettes: A little breath of freedom, one puff at a time. Thank you for listening to the podcast. We appreciate your support and your time. Stay tuned for our next episode where we’ll dive into the fascinating and controversial world of weather control. You won’t want to miss it! The recent presidential debate ignites a spirited discussion on the value of voting and its true impact. We then venture into speculative territory, pondering what a second civil war in the United States might look like and its implications for society. Our survival talk leads us to the surprising potential of kudzu, a plant often regarded as a nuisance, and how it could be a vital food source in times of crisis. Our conversation shifts to the challenges and frustrations of living in big cities, contrasted with the allure of a quieter, simpler life. On this episode of the Terribly Vexed Podcast, we dive into the world of false flag operations, particularly within the complex landscape of Israel's history. False flags, deceptive maneuvers orchestrated to appear as if perpetrated by a different party, have been a controversial tool throughout history. We explore the unsettling strategies behind false flags, from Operation Northwoods to the elusive "Strategy of Tension." Delve into intriguing incidents such as Pearl Harbor, the mysterious "Remember the Maine," the enigmatic case of the dancing Israelis, and the haunting story of the USS Liberty. Questions arise: How have intelligence agencies suspiciously dropped the ball in pivotal moments? What connections exist between the JFK assassination and alleged false flag operations? Could there be a parallel between the ambiguity of the USS Liberty incident and other historic events? How do these events shape our understanding of geopolitical narratives? Furthermore, what lessons can we draw from the blurred lines between truth and deception in history? How do false flags influence public perception and geopolitical decisions? And ultimately, how can we distinguish between genuine events and orchestrated deceptions in a world where truth is often obscured? In a discussion that's bound to provoke thought, challenge assumptions, and unravel layers of complexity, we seek to shed light on the shadowy realm of false flag operations, aiming to separate fact from fiction in Israel's history and beyond. Tune in for a captivating exploration into the murky world of orchestrated deception! If you like the podcast, please rate, review, and subscribe on Apple Podcasts , tell a friend, and let us know! Moving on, we shift our focus to an equally intriguing topic: the ASCH Conformity Tests and the implications they hold for society. We analyze the psychology behind conformity and how it shapes human behavior, shedding light on the mechanisms that drive us to conform to social norms and expectations. Additionally, we discuss the concerning increase in incidents involving airline passengers, exploring the factors contributing to these unsettling events and their potential consequences for the travel industry and passenger safety. However, the heart of this episode lies in our comprehensive exploration of Operation Condor, a dark and secretive collaboration among several South American countries during the 1970s and 1980s. Join us as we unravel the intricate web of political intrigue, espionage, and human rights abuses that characterized this covert operation. We delve into the countries involved, including Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, Paraguay, and Bolivia, and examine the key figures who orchestrated this operation, such as Augusto Pinochet, Jorge Rafael Videla, and Alfredo Stroessner. In the early hours of December 26th, 1980, a security patrol at the east gate of Royal Air Force Woodbridge spotted lights descending into a small pine forest bordering the base. Believing it was a downed civilian aircraft, a small team was assembled and sent to investigate and render assistance. As the team approached the lights, their radios began to malfunction, the air became electrically charged, animals at the nearby farms went into a frenzy, and walking became difficult. “Like walking in deep water.” Two of the men pressed on and arrived at a small clearing where the bright lights had seemed to stop moving. There was a massive silent explosion of bright white light. One of the two men was left in a trance-like state while the other approached a small, black, triangular shaped craft hovering above the forest floor. It appeared to be made of seamless opaque black glass and was covered in symbols that looked like hieroglyphs. As he ran his fingers over the surface of the strange symbols, the craft began to slowly ascend through the trees and took off into the sky at an “impossible” speed. That was only the beginning. Often referred to as Britain’s Roswell, the Rendlesham Forest Incident is one of the most well documented UFO cases in history. Join us as we explore the case in more detail and discuss some of the more wild tales that have emerged since 1980 including a possible government cover-up, a binary code from the future, and a possible close encounter of the third kind. In the summer of 1849, 40 year old Edgar Allan Poe embarked on a lecture tour, he planned to raise money to start his own literary magazine. By the autumn of that year Poe was nearing the end of his journey and on September 27, 1849, Poe left Richmond, Virginia on his way home back to New York City. No reliable evidence exists concerning his whereabouts until a week later on October 3rd, when he was found delirious in Baltimore at Ryan's Tavern (sometimes referred to as Gunner's Hall). A printer named Joseph Walker sent a letter requesting help to Dr. Joseph E. Snodgrass, an acquaintance of Poe. Snodgrass's first-hand account describes Poe's appearance as "repulsive", with unkempt hair, a haggard, unwashed face and "lusterless and vacant" eyes. His clothing, Snodgrass said, which included a dirty shirt but no vest and unpolished shoes, was worn and did not fit well. Dr. John Joseph Moran, who was Poe's attending physician, gave his own detailed account of Poe's appearance that day and would later give another account of Poe’s condition during the brief time in his care, but both the accounts of Snodgrass and Moran should, to some degree, be considered somewhat dubious, no official record explaining his death has ever been found. Poe was methodical and decisive as a writer and critic, at times arrogantly confident in his own abilities, and perhaps rightly so, but life’s many troubles had left him with a grief stricken mind and in turn he would often resort to infrequent binges with alcohol and drugs to numb himself from the struggles he regularly faced. Most Poe scholars would argue, however, this doesn’t mean his mysterious disappearance and unusual reemergence was a botched suicide attempt. Theories abound as to what may have been the ultimate cause of Poe’s demise, from hypoglycemia, tuberculosis, to rabies, a brain tumor, diabetes, syphilis, delirium tremens, epilepsy and meningeal inflammation. Other theories include the possibility of lead, mercury, and or similar toxic heavy-metal poisoning that people were routinely exposed to in the 1800’s. One of the more unusual, however probable theories involved a form of election fraud, quite popular during that time, known as “cooping.” Join us as we attempt to unravel the mysterious death of Edgar Allan Poe! On June 14th, 1969, six-year-old Dennis Martin disappeared on a family outing in the Spence Field area of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The resulting investigation spanned the entire country and remains the largest ever search effort in the history of the park. The number of searchers grew to upwards of 1,400 people just days after the disappearance was reported. The police, FBI, and even the Green Berets were brought in to aid in the search for the lost child. No trace of Dennis Martin was ever found.
