With Season 1 completed and Season 2 scheduled for launch on January 8th, we decided to see what would happen if we ran our episodes through the AI washing machine. What happened is what follows below…

This special edition podcast comprises episodes 10-13 of the Calculus of IT Podcast series. Tune in and listen to our two hosts, Billy McPonies and Ginger Unicorns, who will walk you through their “special” interpretation.

This special episode of the Calculus of IT podcast combines the previous four episodes into one supersized episode! The hosts, Nate McBride and Mike Crispin, cover a wide range of topics including:

  • Apple's new Vision Pro VR headset: Mike got his hands on the new Apple Vision Pro headset, and the hosts discussed their first impressions of the device. One major downside: you can't drink while wearing it! They also explored potential use cases and speculated on its future iterations.
  • The conclusion of the first section of Nate's book, The Life Sciences IT Survival Guide: The hosts concluded their reading of the first section, which focuses on the first 90 days of an IT leader's tenure at a new company. They also looked ahead to the topics covered in the remainder of the book, such as budgeting, strategic planning, governance, and the employee experience.
  • Ethics and dangers of AI: The hosts discussed several news stories related to the potential dangers of AI, including the creation of realistic deepfakes and the use of AI to spread disinformation. They also discussed the need for government regulation of AI and the ethical considerations of using AI in various applications.
  • The importance of browsers and the future of the web: The hosts discussed the ongoing "browser wars" and the importance of choosing the right browser. They explored different browser features, such as decentralization and open-source development, and considered how browsers might evolve.

Guest Nathan Doyle joined the hosts in Episode 13 to discuss governance in IT.

Join Nate and Mike for this epic, four-hour journey through the IT world!
