The anti-racism counter protest at Vancouver City Hall on August 19, 2017. The event was arranged by local ad-hoc team Stand Up to Racism Metro Vancouver and over 4,000 attendees. Anti-white supremacy protests were held in several cities in response to a car ploughing into a group of activists who were preparing to march in opposition to a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville.
