I have the privilege of sharing my friend Connie Lemois today with you. We met a little over a year ago working together with Women Speakers Collective and have become fast friends. After hearing Connie's story I knew you need to hear about how God is so faithful in bringing reality into perspective.

In this conversation, Connie Lemois shares her journey of navigating out of a second-hand faith into something more. She emphasizes the importance of understanding one's own narrative and not letting external influences dictate one's faith. Connie recounts her experiences of God's faithfulness, including a transformative trip to Thailand and the unexpected blessings that followed her prayers. She also discusses the joy of building a new family and how God's love and redemption reshaped her own life.

Takeaways

  • Be okay with being human during your faith journey.
  • Don't let others dictate your faith; seek your own understanding in God.
  • Trauma can lead to a deeper understanding of faith.
  • Prayer can lead to miraculous provisions.
  • Building a family can look different than expected.
  • Faith can bring joy and stability in tumultuous times.

Reflection Questions

  1. Connie talked about the narrative, have you understood your own personal narrative and how that can draw you closer to Jesus.
  2. Is there a space you have become a professional chameleon, maybe you are triggered by something in the past or it is a habit you didn’t know was there.

Keywords: faith, trauma, redemption, community, personal growth, Jesus, family, healing, mental health, love story
