Have you ever used your diagnosis as an idol? Thrilled to introduce you to the Director of Administration and Youth Initiatives for the Florida Independent Living Council Sarah Goldman. She shares how she moved out of the diagnosis mindset into advocating for future generations with disabilities. Sarah has a master’s degree in Social Work and has a passion for helping to advocate for change for future generations of people with disabilities. She also loves mentoring and pouring into women, especially with her work at Even If. Sarah shares her journey of finding purpose in her work with youth, her faith transformation, and the importance of community support. She discusses the challenges of navigating her identity beyond her disability and the role of suffering in her spiritual growth. Sarah also highlights her aspirations for the future, including her involvement in ministry and advocacy, and the significance of treating everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their abilities.
