Happy Independence Day for all who celebrate!
This week's ID4 episode continues our Summer of Song as we discuss the 2002 Purple Rain-esque film 8 Mile, starring Eminem as James Aloyishush "B-Rabbit" (Brabbit) Smith Esq, a wannabe rapper that can't seem to rise to the occasion in a destitute Detroit's 8 Mile section (Put your hands up 313).
In this film, Jimmy learns about life, responsibility, and what it means to not only be a rapper but a man.
Co-starring a banger of a cast in Kim Basinger, Mekhai Pfifer, Anthony Mackie, and the late/great Brittany Murphy, 8 Mile is a semi-autobiographical tale of a white rapper's rise to prominence.
