In this episode we interview Aaron Bethea. Aaron is a Black PhD candidate in the counseling psychology PhD program at the University of Akron. Aaron is a native of Trenton, NJ. He received his BA in English from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MA in Psychology from LaSalle University and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.. His research interests include: positive psychology, resilience, grit, post-traumatic growth, Afrocentric psychological theories, and high achievement in within underprivileged populations. In this segment we discuss Western psychology, Afrocentric psychology, stigmas to mental health, the culture and much more!
