A few months back, I had to take my dog, Trevor, to see a behaviorist. (Psychologist might be a stretch, but it felt that way!)

Trevor is the sweetest, most affectionate little spaniel. In the house, he’s a dream. But on walks? A completely different story. Barking, snapping, lunging—he’d lose his mind at the sight of another dog. I’d come home in tears, dreading the next walk.

So, I finally asked for help. And what I learned about Trevor’s stress—and how it builds up—completely changed the way I see stress in humans too.

In this episode, I’m sharing:
👉 Why stress is like an emotional sink (and how it overflows)
👉 The surprising ways we ‘fill up the sink’ without realizing
👉 What actually helps to empty it (hint: restriction makes things worse!)
👉 How these lessons apply to you and why they’re part of my Stress Less System

Stress isn’t just about the big things. It’s the little, everyday things that add up—until something small tips you over the edge. And just like Trevor needed strategies to manage it, so do we.

I use these same ideas in More To Life—the coaching programme that gives professional women the right support to lose weight without adding more stress.
