Ep. 26 - Corey & Greg Do SummerSlam, Olympics Recap, and Maintaining Friendships In Recovery

Join 3/4 of the trudge crew for a special Saturday morning episode. Corey hasn't traveled enough so he is now in Ohio with Greg and they are coming to us from the “Compound”. The boys begin the show with talking about why Corey is in Ohio and the special event they have planned for Saturday evening. Corey gives us a quick synopsis of his Spirit airlines flight and some previous experiences that weren't so good. We get a surprise cameo from another good buddy of ours that's also in Ohio and a legend in his own right.
The second segment is all about the Olympics. We talk about some of our favorite events and some of the notable medal winners in their respective sports. We talked about some of the controversies in both men's and women's soccer involving the women's Canadian team and the men of Argentina and Morocco. Then we focus on the Hungarian transgender boxer and the effect that it has had on opponents and the sport as a whole.
The recovery segment is an important topic that we all face of how we deal with old friends that may not be sober and who still drink. We also talk about people that we have become close to in recovery that do not stay sober and how our relationships with them can either evolve, stay the same, or disintegrate. Lastly, we talked about going to different places, events, and social functions where there is drinking. What we do and how we deal with those situations.
