Today I'm talking about transforming your relationships with healthy entitlement. This is about the difference between a lack of entitlement aka not feeling worthy of being treated well, people pleasing, and struggling with boundaries to a healthy entitlement. Healthy entitlement is something that's active and we have to practice each and every day. It's the willingness to advocate for ourselves and honor our limits and boundaries. It's knowing we have the right to be treated well. It's being able to be with conflict and embrace confrontation. It's coming away from the fawn trauma response. The other extreme is rampant entitlement aka people who feel they have the right to whatever they want and they will step over anyone to get it. They don't believe they 'should' have to put any effort in and are complacent or dismissive of others' best interests and unwilling to listen to others. Healthy entitlement is how we go from unfulfilling relationships to ones that are fulfilling and authentic.
