Dr. Shaun Nelms, Vice President of Community Partnerships at the University of Rochester, will be joined by Dr. Michael Scharf, MD, Psychiatrist-in-Chief at Golisano Children’s Hospital, and Carrie Meeks, LMHC, Clinical Director, UR Medicine Mobile Crisis Team & Crisis Call Line, to discuss Virtual Health Urgent Care. They will explain when to choose virtual care over scheduling an appointment or visiting the emergency department. The discussion will include examples of symptoms or conditions that may prompt you to use the new urgent care service,
as well as what to expect during your virtual visit. Additionally, they will provide guidance on handling immediate safety concerns and share contact information for accessing virtual urgent care.
