INDICTED AND FACING PRISON.
I’m Dr. Marc Blatstein. I spent time in Federal Prison, and now I’m here to help you on your journey. After the video, for more, check out PPSRUS.com.
Prison is Temporary.

Knowledge and Preparation will help build back the Confidence you’ll need throughout this process.

· Since you’ve heard that the DOJ and Feds have been asking questions, their case against you is mostly complete, with a 98% Conviction Rate.

· Hiring a legal team doesn’t just mean they have experience; they also need a proven track record of successfully defending cases like yours.

· The choices you make today - will Help You Tomorrow.
YOUR STAKEHOLDERS include the Courts,

· Your Attorney, who knows nothing about you and could have precipitated this event,

· The Department of Justice (who issued the indictment) wants a Conviction

· The Probation Officer who conducts your interview (PSI),

· The prosecutor wants jail time as “you are responsible for all the world's sins.
Your Judge,

• He knows all about your Attorney, The DOJ, The Prosecutor, and what they want, but he knows nothing about you – the defendant. What happened in your life caused you to break the law? [You may be innocent, but this is not part of this topic]

• This is your opportunity to make an advocate for the Officer who will interview you (First) and the court (Your Judge) at sentencing.
Unit Management and Case Management in the BOP (7/23/22)

· Job assignment and sleeping arrangement

· Transfers

· Those over two years remaining are scheduled to meet with their unit team members twice yearly.

· ... less than 24 months, meet with their unit team more frequently.
Newer people come into the meeting hoping to find meaning in what they are supposed to be doing in prison.
Staff and Inmates: matters of importance include:

· The passing of time,

· The counselor’s function during the meeting is to describe a person’s participation in the FRP program and pass the prisoner a copy of his visiting list.

· The unit manager designates the prisoner out of the BOP into RRC or Home Confinement
UNIT MANAGER or mini warden

· They usually won’t work with you – unless you have an excellent advocacy plan
Residential Reentry Center or Halfway House is responsible during either,

· Home Confinement or in

· Halfway House before entering Supervised Release.
