Did you know that as we age and our hormones change, our workouts and nutrition needs change too?

Did you know that strength training is foundational to living a healthy life as you age?

Did you know that walking helps to stabilize blood sugar, reduce cortisol, promote a positive mindset and boost your energy and mood?

In today’s episode I’m chatting with the amazing Shannon Gale. We’re exploring the topic of strength training for women - specifically diving deeper into a discussion about the hormone changes we experience in perimenopause, menopause and post menopause. It’s truly a lovely and enlightening conversation :) You’re gonna love it.
Some key points to take away:

  • health = JOY - does your life bring you joy? If not, how can you change your lifestyle + activities, so you feel joyful and good most of the time?
  • some benefits of strength training: building bone density, maintaining muscle mass, supporting joint health, reducing injury + improving mental health
  • aim to be 1% better each week - make micro changes so you can sustain them and compound them overtime :)
