In today’s episode, we’re pleased to welcome Dr. Katherine Tucker to our podcast as we delve into her exploration of region-ethnicity-specific nutrition and health disparities. Join us as we explore Dr. Tucker’s insights into the patterns of nutrition across different populations.

Katherine L. Tucker, Ph.D. is Professor of Nutrition at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Her research focuses on dietary intake and risk of chronic disease, with an emphasis on health disparities. She is the PI of the Boston Puerto Rican Health Study, a cohort study, to examine the roles of diet in relation to chronic conditions including heart disease, cognitive decline, and bone health.

“... But what the social support does, one, it helps to reduce the stress. And two, its very important for continuing to eat well... and encouraging each other to eat well.”
