Dr. Sherman, a board-certified pediatrician with 35 years of experience, shares his journey from treating medically complex children in the USA, Uganda and Bolivia to becoming a physician coach. He has helped over 200 physicians and other health professionals through the journey of examining their own life experiences, discovering their core values, and using self-awareness to inform their future career choices. He highlights the systemic issues contributing to physician burnout, including administrative burdens and societal expectations, and advises us, as patients, to advocate for more quality care and to foster better relationships through empathy towards their healthcare providers.
