In this powerful episode of Painting Your Path, I sit down with Emiliya Zhivotovskaya, CEO of The Flourishing Center, to explore resilience, post-traumatic growth, and the power of mindset in the wake of adversity. Emiliya shares insights from positive psychology on how we can process trauma, navigate challenging emotions, and support ourselves and others during difficult times. She also discusses the impact of the language we use with ourselves, the difference between sympathy and empathy, and how to reframe our personal narratives to foster healing and growth.

Emiliya and I reflect on our own experiences with loss, including my journey dealing with aftermath of the Eaton fires. Emiliya offers a free resource—her Mind Over Chatter program—to help listeners manage mind chatter and cultivate resilience.

Emiliya’s Bio: Emiliya Zhivotovskaya is the CEO and founder of The Flourishing Center and the Center for Positive Education, both of which are dedicated to increasing flourishing for individuals, organizations and communities.
