In this Meditation, our friend Ruha Cathy Delwiche guides us on a Holy Fire Reiki Journey to explore and integrate the healing power of Air. Air is the quality associated with the direction East, the rising sun, and the Spring Equinox.

The Spring Equinox is the beginning of the agricultural year and the time when the Earth awakens. It is an excellent time for us to initiate and celebrate new beginnings. This year, the Spring Equinox was March 20, 2025, so we are a few days past the actual day light and dark were in perfect balance. The energy is still available for us to use and so we will!

Our Journey of discovery brings the quality of Air into full focus – we take flight with the Golden Eagle, the highest flying of all birds, and visit each of the cardinal directions and be gifted the quality most representative of that direction.

In the North, the gift of KNOW; in the West, the gift of WISDOM; in the South, the gift of CHOICES; and returning to the East, the gift of ILLUMINATION. We will meditate on integrating each of these qualities as revealed in the following affirmation: We KNOW the WISDOM of our CHOICES enhances the ILLUMINATION of our soul.

If possible, before your journey, collect a few feathers – they can be collected from the ground outside, a birdcage, or even purchased at the store. We will be empowering the feathers with our intention, and after our journey is complete, we will take our feathers outside and attach them to a low-hanging branch or other structure as an offering to the Spirit of Air.

If you are not able to collect some feathers, this is OK – you can use your mind’s eye to do the process for you.
