On Emotions and Messages

Learn to see emotions as messages from our bodies. Instead of labeling them as good or bad, I treat them like visitors bringing something important to share. I share how I try to receive those messages—both through the words they might be saying and the physical sensations they bring.
I also reflect on insights from Burnout by Emily Nagoski, especially around the importance of actually feeling emotions in order to move through them. There’s a story I tell about explaining this to a child, which helped me see how these concepts can be used in everyday life—simply and meaningfully.
