Advocating for yourself is not always easy, especially when your pain and concerns are constantly being ignored. It's easy to get trapped in a cycle of believing that what you're feeling and/or worrying about is "all in your head" or "not a big deal". All too often women are these exact things when they are actually experiencing potentially life-threatening events.

In today's episode, I'm interviewing Elisabeth Wygant, pharmacist, mom, and functional nutrition expert. She's sharing her own life-altering experience with the birth of her first child and the complicated health emergency she experienced, which kept being ignored. She's also sharing with me the importance of advocating for yourself, taking your life into your own hands, and living the best life you can live.

Dr. Elisabeth Wygant, founder of Elisabeth Wygant Wellness (her virtual functional medicine practice), speaker, host of the Thrive Mama! Podcast, and mother of two little ladies. Her specialty is empowering busy working mamas feeling overwhelmed, fatigued and short on time, to be more present, gain work-life balance and lead healthy lifestyles. She utilizes her signature method, FLOURISH, to guide clients through mindset, gut health, functional nutrition, tailored supplement support, nutrient panels, and so much more!
Prior to launching Elisabeth Wygant Wellness, she worked in the pharmaceutical space for 14 years, the last 5 spent managing a local independent pharmacy. After experiencing health issues as a new mama and finding the power in functional medicine, Elisabeth found her heart’s calling in providing tools to help others lead healthier lifestyles. Fueled by a mission for functional wellness, she changed from her pharmacy path, to starting her own health consultancy to heal patients her way.
Her true passion in life is inspiring women to fill their cup and recognize that it is never too late to invest in themselves and their health!
