When did you realize you were African American? What are the advantages and/or disadvantages of being Black? What is our country’s history and relationship with members of our community? In this episode, I attempt to answer these and more questions as part of a culturally informed interview project for our graduate courses. A great colleague and friend, Aaron D. Pehrson, developed and investigated these great questions for us to discuss. Aaron has experience as a Mental Health Technician, a Bachelors of Psychology and currently enrolled as Doctoral student at KCU specializing in Clinical Psychology. He has an interest in person-centred approaches, is a gentleman of Caucasian heritage and has a heart for racial awareness! Be sure to tune in as we discuss these and many other topics!
