This week on “The Tie-In,” Zena and Mark discuss what it takes to create sustainability in the live music industry from the fabulously famous Amy Morrison, leader of the “Music Sustainability Alliance” (@msa.action). MSA is mobilizing the industry to change its operations and use its platform for cultural impact. Amy’s talent for forging connections and invigorating existing systems, instead of reinventing the wheel, has led to a return to grassroots efforts in the scene. By understanding the economics behind who drives the language, we can elevate creative groups working in sustainability. It’s all about education, proving facts, debunking myths, and getting motivated activists the materials they need to thrive. Amy has helped accomplish all those things and more, but we can’t stop now. Help us help her and the other sustainably savvy individuals on her team by spreading word about their cause. Like, subscribe, and support the work of artists who support sustainability.

You can follow Amy’s efforts by joining the MSA through their website: https://www.musicsustainability.org
